The GPE4T terminals are used as check-in/out points for automatic entry and exit of vehicles. Drivers can control the terminals without having to leave their cars. Terminals are protected against misuse by induction loops installed in front of them. Terminals become active only if there is a vehicle detected above the induction loop. The design of both the entry and exit terminal cabinets is the same, their specific use depends on the peripherals installed in the front panel.

The entry terminal is located at the car park entry and it allows drivers automatic entry
Entry process
1. The driver arrives at the entry terminal and presses the button for the parking ticket issue.
2. The issue of a ticket is conditioned by the presence of a vehicle at the entry terminal while the presence of the vehicle is monitored by the induction loop detector. If the terminal recognizes the presence of a vehicle, it issues a parking ticket to the driver. If not, the issue of a parking ticket is not enabled.
3. After the driver has taken the parking ticket from the slot, the barrier arm is raised.
4. The barrier closes after the vehicle has left the security induction loop under the barrier arm.

The exit terminal is located at the car park exit and it allows drivers automatic exit
Exit process
1. Prior to the exit from the car park, the customer needs to pay a fee for used parking services in the automatic pay station or manual pay station. After the car park user has paid the parking fee, a single exit parking ticket is issued.
2. The driver places the paid parking ticket to the exit terminal scanner which checks the bar code information stated on the parking ticket.
3. If the induction loop detector recognizes the presence of a vehicle, the terminal gives a command to the automatic road barrier to open and the driver can leave the car park.
4. Subsequently, the terminal invalidates the exit parking ticket to prevent multiple exits with the use of one parking ticket.
5. The barrier closes only after the vehicle has left the security induction loop under the barrier arm.
